Springdale Parking Guide for Zion Visitors

Finding parking near Zion National Park can be challenging, especially during peak season.ย  Use this guide to understand your parking options before you arrive.

Where to Find Oversized Vehicle Parking

Oversize parking near Zion National Park is limited and fills early, especially during peak visitation.

  1. South Entrance Oversize Lot
    The free oversize parking lot just inside the South Entrance is one of the most convenient options,ย  but it fills early in the day.ย 
  2. Zone C Parking on Lion Boulevard
    Vehicles longer than 24 feet may park in designated Zone C areas along Lion Boulevard.
  3. Privately Owned Pay Lot on Lion Boulevard
    Read posted signs and pay using the instructions provided. For directions or more information, view the lot onย  Google Maps.
  4. Zion Corridor Park & Ride
    The Zion Corridor Park & Ride in Virgin offers parking for large vehicles about 15 miles west of Springdale. Visitors can take the SunTran bus or the Zion White Bison Shuttle to Lion Boulevard. For more information check out our traveler tip on Zion Corridor Park & Ride.ย

Springdale Public Parking Rates

  • Zone A Parking – Highest rate ($$$), nearest to the park entrance
  • Zone B Parking – Mid-range rate ($$)
  • Zone C Parking – Most affordable ($); vehicles over 24 feet long are permitted to park here

Public On-Street Parking Rules in Springdale 

  • Payment is required daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Pay using the QR code posted at the space or at a nearby pay station.
  • Park only where Zone A, B, or C signs are posted. All other streets in Springdale are either resident permit zones or no-parking zones.
  • Park in the direction of traffic. Vehicles parked facing the wrong direction may be cited.
  • Do not block bike lanes, driveways, or crosswalks.
  • Parking is free in all three zones for vehicles displaying a valid accessible parking placard or license plate.

The Springdale 2400 Parking Lot

This public paid parking lot in Zone B located across from Hotel de Novo near shuttle stop 9. It is a convenient option for visitors who want to park and ride the shuttle into Zion National Park.

Zion National Park Parking Lots

Zion National Park has two primary parking lots near the South Entrance  โ€“ The Zion Canyon Visitor Center parking lot and the oversize vehicle lot. For more information about parking inside the park, please check out the Zion National Park website.

Zion Canyon Visitor Center Parking Lot

  • The parking lot often fills very early during peak season and holidays, sometimes by 7:45 a.m.
  • Parking is free with park admission.
  • Accessible parking is available throughout the lot. According to the National Park Service:
    โ€œThe Visitor Center at Zion National Park has more than a dozen designated accessible parking spots. Specifically, the main parking lot includes two primary ramp-access spots directly outside the visitor center, and the broader lot offers at least 12 additional ADA-compliant spaces.โ€

Privately Owned Parking Lots in Springdale

Several privately owned parking lots operate in Springdale. These lots are not managed by the Town of Springdale, so rules, rates, and payment methods vary by location. Always read posted signs carefully and direct any questions to the individual business.

Note: Lots closer to the park entrance generally charge higher rates. The parking lots listed below are provided for informational purposes only. Visitors should research each option independently.

  • Hotel de Novo: One lane nearest the road is available for day-use paid parking. Contact the hotel for current rates and availability.
  • Bit and Spur Lot: Day-use parking is available, but vehicles must be removed before dinner service begins. Read posted signs carefully for time restrictions.
  • Switchback Grill: A limited number of day-use parking spaces are available on both sides of the driveway.
  • Zion Park! Economy Lot: Located on Lion Boulevard with parking forย  oversized vehicles, RVs, buses, and motorcycles. View the lot on Google Maps for directions and additional information.
